My World Your World | Week 4: Black & White

For this week My World Your World, diptych theme is Black and White.  There is so much I could have done because I love the emotion that black and white photos can show.  Initially I was going to drive around and look for a cool tree with some snow but then I thought I could really go a different approach but in the end I wanted to try a different type of photography then what I’m used to.  So off I go looking around my house for some objects that would be great for a black and white theme and I saw these bottles in my kitchen.  They are perfect!!!

These bottles of vodka have been a decoration in my kitchen for over 10 years.  No they are not full of vodka and no, I didn’t drink it all.  I know, you were really hoping for a good “she is so drunk, she is falling on her butt” story but that is not the case.  I am so sorry to disappoint you.  I just really love how these bottles look…

My good friend and photographer Veronica from Tracy, California had a very awesome idea for her black and white diptych photo.  Her old family photos tell an immense story about the history of her grandparents and their lives together and apart while her grandfather was away during WWII.  They are the most important black and whites she has… they tell stories that no one else can…

While you are here you might as well go look around at a couple other photographers that are also taking part in the diptych.

Amy Shertzer is a Bozeman, MT family photographer

Heather Leigh is a Northern Virginia Children’s Photographer
